The 2024 Acura Integra and 2024 Acura Integra Type S are both main staples of the brand’s impressive lineup. A significant difference is that the Type S (which stands for “Sport”) model is known for its powerful, racetrack-ready performance. Learn how the models compare and contrast right here at MotorWorld Acura.

Performance

The main difference between these two models lies in the performance and engine specifications. Under the hood of the Acura Integra is a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that delivers 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. The Type S variant has an upgraded engine in the form of a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that produces 320 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.

A CVT transmission comes standard with the 2024 Acura Integra, and a six-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential is available with the A-Spec tech package. With the Type S, the manual transmission is the standard offering.

There’s also a noticeable difference in speed. The Acura Integra accelerates from zero to 60 mph in seven seconds flat, verses just 4.8 seconds for the Type S. Type S performance is also boosted by dual-piece ventilated rotors and Brembo front caliper brakes.

Which One Is Right for You?

The Acura Integra is perfect for most car buyers who need any everyday driver to commute to work and run errands. However, if you value speed or even plan to occasionally bring the vehicle to the racetrack, then the Acura Integra Type S will give you that extra performance enhancement, better cornering, and greater acceleration that you crave.
